You’re not just a number here. I love the people I work with – and I truly care about them. It’s OK to care about the people you work with. In fact, we’re all encouraged to care about each other.

I’m impressed with how well employees are treated. We have top-notch benefits but there’s a lot more than that. When I talk to new employees, every person comments on how nice people are. That makes NCMIC such a great place to work and it makes it really easy to come to work every day.

One thing that is important to me is our Wellness Program. NCMIC offers a fitness center and other wellness-related activities to help our employees be healthy. I also like the fact that I can flex my work hours so I have time to exercise during the day.

I’ve worked for larger companies and never had the “perks” we have here like employee lunches and afternoon treats. Even the entertainment packages offered to employees say a lot because the Social Committee tries to offer a variety of options – Adventureland, movie tickets, dinner and golf – to try and meet everyone’s interests.
