Because helping people is an important part of what we do at NCMIC Group, each year funds are designated, through our employee-led Charitable Contributions Committee, to support local charities, arts and cultural events, and other community events that are near and dear to our employees’ hearts.

United Way
Each year, the company hosts an employee fundraising drive to benefit United Way of Central Iowa and its many United Way-funded agencies.

Through generous donations made by 63% of our employees and matched by the company, we helped make a difference this year with a gift of approximately $60,000 to United Way agencies in Iowa.

Blood Drive
For more than 10 years, NCMIC Group has hosted a quarterly, on-site blood drive to support the Blood Center of Central Iowa.

Combat Hunger
Throughout the month of November, employees donate canned goods and other non-perishable items for the Food Bank of Iowa. In 2007, NCMIC Group employees donated 4,259 pounds of food and other non-perishable items.

Teddy Bear Drive
An event that really shows the generosity of our employees, the annual NCMIC Group Teddy Bear Drive is a unique way for employees to help others during the holiday season. Employees donate teddy bears and other stuffed animals that are delivered to Broadlawns Medical Center, where they are adopted by the children who are at Broadlawns during the holiday season.
