Because helping people is an important part of what we do at NCMIC Group, our employee-led Charitable Contributions Committee designates funds each year to support local charities as well as cultural and community events that are near and dear to our employees’ hearts.

United Way
Each year, NCMIC Group hosts an employee fundraising drive to benefit the United Way of Central Iowa and support them in their mission of improving lives within our community. Our employees give generously during this week-long campaign. And NCMIC Group is proud to provide company matching funds to further United Way’s efforts in creating opportunities for a good life by focusing on education, income and health.

Blood Drive
NCMIC Group also supports the community through its quarterly, on-site blood drive that benefits the LifeServe Blood Center (formerly Blood Center of Central Iowa). These donations enable LifeServe to provide blood and blood products that support more than 90 hospitals located across Iowa, Nebraska and South Dakota. It’s just one more way that our employees demonstrate a commitment to meeting the needs of others within the community.

Combat Hunger
Each November, NCMIC Group employees are proud to participate in Combat Hunger. Their donations of canned goods, cash and other non-perishable items help the Food Bank of Iowa – a food and fund drive that provides assistance to thousands of needy individuals and families in our community. NCMIC donations to support this cause grow grander each year.

Teddy Bear Drive
An event that really shows the generosity of our employees is the annual NCMIC Group Teddy Bear Drive that benefits Broadlawns Medical Center. During December, employees donate teddy bears and other stuffed animals that are delivered to Broadlawns. They are then adopted by the children who are hospitalized at Broadlawns. It’s a unique way for employees to help others during this time.
