As Habitat for Humanity expands its goal of building more houses in the Greater Des Moines area, we saw an excellent opportunity to expand our involvement with the organization and get involved on a variety of levels. NCMIC Group is currently co-sponsoring the build of one Habitat for Humanity house in the Greater Des Moines area. Through this donation, we are able to make a positive long-term impact in the community in which our employees work and many live.

Our employees are encouraged to participate in this build by giving their time and individual skills and, to date, we’re proud that more than 70 employees have spent at least one day at the build site. This type of volunteer work gives employees a chance to work with each other and get to know one another better. It also allows them to roll up their sleeves, physically do the work, and feel like they’re making a real, tangible contribution to the community.
