At NCMIC Group, employees are encouraged to participate in company-sponsored and other
events that mean something to them. We provide our employees one volunteer day off per calendar year. In addition,
NCMIC Group may provide employees with extra volunteer days to support a specific event or cause. We also offer
a company match should an employee choose to make a financial donation to a charitable organization or event.
If interested, our employees may also participate in and/or support these employee-led comittees:
Charitable Contributions Committee
This group helps plan and coordinate employee volunteer opportunities and sponsored events each year.
Charitable contributions, including volunteerism and monetary contributing, vary each year depending on employee interest.
During the past year NCMIC Group has provided financial support to a variety of local charitable organizations
and events, including:
- JDRF
- American Cancer Society
- Prevent Blindness Iowa
- Animal Rescue League
- Iowa Homeless Youth Centers
- Arthritis Foundation
- Junior Achievement
- Alzheimer’s Association
- Iowa Public Television
Social Committee
An equally important aspect at NCMIC Group is giving employees time to interact with each other. Our Social Committee works to provide monthly
events and activities, both on- and off-site, for our employees to get together and get to know one another better, while our monthly
company-wide recognition meetings honor those employees reaching a professional milestone.
Wellness Committee
The intent of our Wellness Committee is to provide employees with the resources necessary for obtaining the
highest level of wellness they choose to achieve. This is accomplished through an onsite exercise facility, a monthly
wellness newsletter that’s distributed to all employees, healthy lifestyle "Lunch and Learn" programs, as well as
a variety of contests that promote healthy well being.
