FAQs

  1. Can you mail my award to me? Unfortunately, no. You must be present to accept your award.
  2. Will there be a photographer taking photos at the finish line? Yes; we will have someone taking photos during the event but will not necessarily get photos of every participant crossing the finish line. Photos will be available online the week following the run.
  3. Will there be water stations? Yes, water stations will be available along both the 5K and 10K routes.
  4. Will there be bathrooms available? Bathrooms will be available in the parking lot of the NCMIC & Professional Solutions Building.
  5. Can I wear headphones while I'm walking/running? Yes; headphones are allowed but please be aware of your surroundings at all times. NOTE: portions of the route will be open to traffic during the run.
  6. How early do I need to be at the starting location? We recommend arriving at least 30 minutes prior to the start time of 9 a.m. This should allow ample time for parking, etc.
  7. Is online registration the only way to register? Yes. Online registrations will be accepted through Run Sign UpYou can register any time prior to 8:30 a.m. on race day. However, t-shirts are not guaranteed for registrations after June 25.
  8. Can I make an additional tax-deductible contribution to any of the Foundations? Yes; additional contributions can be handled when you register for the race.
  9. Will I have a chip timer? Each participant will have a chip timer which will be distributed with your bib when you pick up your packet.
  10. When will I know my result? Real-time results will be available immediately after you finish. Online results will also be available through True Time Racing. 
  11. Do I have to be a runner to participate? No; we're happy to have all participants. So feel free to walk, stroll, jog, run, the 5K. We recommend the 10K for more serious runners looking for a challenge.
  12. What ages can participate in the 5K and 10K? All ages are welcome.
  13. Will the routes be marked? Yes; markers will identify the 5K and 10K routes and volunteers will also be along the route to point you in the right direction.
  14. Can I bring my dog (or other pet)? Unfortunately, animals are not allowed at this race.
  15. Can I bring a stroller to walk/jog/run with my child? Absolutely!
