What is your biggest achievement to date -personal or professional?
Achieving my sales goals, 6 out of my 7 years here. And I will add, my first year here was not a full year!

Consistent, persistent and resistant
What do you like most about your job?
Connecting with new clients every day, where I have the opportunity to review their insurance needs by finding gaps in their existing coverage while providing cost-savings.
What's your most memorable face palm moment?
I had my first 30 days on the job to obtain my P&C insurance license. At that time, the test was a combination examination. I was at Pearson testing center and I was using the full 2 hours given so I was going back and re-reading all my marked answers, etc. until the system was close to timing me out. Immediately, it popped up a message that I had not started the second-half of the test, which resulted in a FAIL I had to come back to the office and try to explain this. “Half-timer” is what Rod Warren had quickly nick-named me.
What advice would you give to recent new entrants?
Work hard, play hard. Your efforts won’t go unrecognized and the benefits are very rewarding.
What is your motto or personal mantra?
If it doesn’t challenge you, it won’t change you.
Where is your favorite spot to vacation?
This is a tough one, as we travel a lot and have been to many wonderful places but if I had to pick, I would say Hawaii. Although Mexico is a close second and a much shorter flight!
What's your favorite line from a film?
“Nobody puts baby in the corner.”
What is your guilty pleasure?
Reality TV, while enjoying a glass or two of wine
What’s your favorite NCMIC memory?
I have so many. I would say my first Christmas at NCMIC when ‘Santa’ shows up with a holiday card for each employee.
