NCMIC and Professional Solutions are committed to charitable giving; they donate generously to numerous local charities and also support employees in their personal giving.
The company also offers a dollar for dollar matching gift program up to $500, and they also give employees a paid day off each year to use toward volunteering. In the past, I have used this day off to volunteer for Habitat for Humanity and Meals from the Heartland.
One of my favorite events is the Bears for Broadlawns fundraiser every December, this year with the company's match, NCMIC donated over 800 bears to Broadlawns hospital.

In an era when most companies are cutting benefits, I really appreciate all that the company does for us. From full medical and dental to life and disability insurance, we're covered. And then there's all the other perks from educational reimbursement to Adventureland tickets. They really do go out of their way to take care of us.
I love that we have the benefits and amenities of working for a big company, but not the feeling of being lost in the shuffle. It's pretty cool when you are on a first name basis with the CEO.

Within my first few weeks here, while learning my position, meeting my fellow employees, and hearing nothing but positive feedback, I realized that this is right where I belong.
It didn't take long for me to understand the true meaning of NCMIC's motto, "We take care of our own." Not only does this apply to how committed NCMIC is to our clients, but it is also a parallel of how NCMIC is to their employees. Our achievements do not go unrecognized by NCMIC's Senior Management Team, and because of that, every person works hard to do their best.

I was first attracted by the building. I drove past it every day on my way downtown. I finally sent in my resume after seeing an advertisement for a position that fit my skills. In my interview, the hiring manager was so friendly and positive about the position and the company that I just wanted to be a part of it.
Turns out the people are great, both my co-workers and our clients. Management is so supportive of both our professional and personal lives. I could not ask for anything better.

There are many reasons I love working here, and if I had to pick one, it would be the love and respect for the NCMIC "family" that I work with. After 17 years of employment, and seeing the number of employees triple, it's great to still have that feeling of belonging.
I believe that no matter how big we will get, I will always be a person and never a number. I can honestly say that I still love coming to work every day and enjoy the work that I do.

In this day and age a lot of people are jumping from place to place. But once people get to NCMIC they have a hard time leaving. That says it all.

The company provides a wonderful onsite fitness facility with a wide range of equipment that is available to employees during the day, at night, and on weekends. I'm able to work out over my lunch period, which gives me more time at night to spend with my family.
By being able to work out over my lunch period I no longer had the excuse of not having enough time to work out and last year I was able to meet my goal weight!

I really love that NCMIC is always striving to improve. New employees are asked by both human resources and their respective departments for their input on training processes, company culture, procedures, and other things that the company could change or do better.
